Space in Art
Space can be used to show depth, dimension, atmosphere, and more. Here are some examples in a variety of mediums to give you examples of clever uses of space.
Look at each image (not just the images in your chosen medium). Can you determine what parts are negative space and what parts are positive space? How did the artist use the relationship between the two to create strong compositions?
How did the artist use color/value/size/etc. to demonstrate space?
